I Couldn't Do It Without My Lists
Creating lists is good for my mental health, I create lists to be more productive and to get unstuck.
It's not that I use lists to guide my every action, but I like to check in on my lists to get a sense if I'm moving in the right direction.
Often it's not what's on the list that gets done, but I'm sure that if it wasn't for the lists, nothing would get done.
Also, at times, worries will overflow my mind. I will immediately sit down to write a list. The sheer act of itemizing fears and potential threats frees up mental energy.
Looking at the complete list, I can see that none of the things are really as bad as they appeared in my head. I can then easily shift from negative to positive thinking, and focus on what needs to get done.
